3 Fun Father’s Day Card Crafts for Kids
It’s time to celebrate dad! That’s right, it’s Father’s Day. So what can your kids do for dad on this special day? Check out these easy-to-make kids’ card crafts.
Your child can draw a special picture just for dad, but not onto paper. What? Use the edge of a craft stick to draw the image onto a Styrofoam sheet or plate. Don’t use letters/words, as they will print as mirror images. Cover the drawing with a thin coat of paint, and then press a piece of paper on top. Pull the paper up to reveal the picture print. Fold the card in half and have your child write a message to dad inside.
Don’t worry about the fact that your young child can’t write her own words yet (or that her scribbling isn’t something that dad can read). Help your tot to cut out letters from magazines. Next, arrange them on a folded piece of card stock paper to spell out “Happy Father’s Day.” Glue the letters down to complete the craft.
Older kids can create a crafty card that features dad’s favorite team. Make an over-sized ticket to a baseball game (include a real ticket inside as part of the present) or make a giant football from posterboard!
