Valentine’s Day Glitter Activities for Kids
Celebrate with sparkles! If your kiddos love glitter (which they most likely do), then these Valentine’s Day kids’ art activities are perfect. Whether your little loves want to make heartfelt cards, decorate the house for the holiday or are just looking for a themed way to craft, check out these easy ideas.
Start with a plain piece of 8×10-inch card stock paper. Fold it in half. Your child can draw half a heart, starting at the center. Cut the shape out and open it completely. Paint the entire front of the heart with clear-drying school glue. Now it’s time for the glitter! Pour sparkles over the glitter and shake off the excess. You can also add in heart-shaped metallic confetti or heart sequins. After the glitter dries, repeat on the other side. Punch a hole at the top (with a hole punch), thread a ribbon through and hang the heart as a cute holiday display.
Love with Sparkles
Write with word “LOVE” onto a piece of cardboard or card stock paper. Your child can cover the letters with clear-drying glue. Sprinkle sparkles onto, shake off the extra glitter and hang the sign up. Your child can also make a smaller version to use a as a Valentine’s Day greeting card.
Fold several sheets of construction paper in half, creating a mini book. Give your child glue and glitter to decorate the outside in a Valentine’s Day theme. After the glue dries, your child can write Valentine’s Day messages or draw pictures of people they love inside.
