Easy Art Activities for World Friendship Day

July 30th marks World Friendship Day. If you’re on the lookout for a way to celebrate this day with your child, check out these artsy activities!
Friend Collage
Who is you child’s best friend? Ask your child to think about who their BFF really is. What does their friend like to do? Does their friend have a pet? And what does your child like most about their friend? After your child thinks about who their friend is, they can find photos and pictures that illustrate the attributes. Cut the pictures out and glue them to a piece of cardboard or poster board, collage-style.
Friendship Bracelets
Your child and their friends can make Friendship Day bracelets for each other. Use yard, ribbon or cut strips of recycled fabric. Tie three strands together with a piece of yarn at the top. Braid the strands together. Add another yarn tie at the bottom and fit the bracelet to each friend’s wrist. Tie the loose ends together to create a circle shape.
Friend Cards
Celebrate this special day with a creative greeting. Fold a piece of 8×10-inch card stock paper in half. Your child can create a design or a drawing with markers, crayons or colored pencils on the front of the card. Open the paper and write a heartfelt greeting inside.
