Can’t Get Out of the House? At-Home Mother’s Day Activities
Your annual Mother’s Day brunch out was cancelled this year. Now what? You don’t have to skip this special day. Even though your plans for a day out with mom are on hold for now, your family can still celebrate mom with these fun-filled activities at home.
Make face masks out of fruit and yogurt, paint mom’s nails for her or give her a new hair style. Even though she can’t go to a real salon, the at-home version is the perfect way to spend her Mother’s Day!
If you can’t go to a favorite eatery for Mother’s Day, bring the dining experience in. The kids can help to measure and mix ingredients, create a crafty menu (using construction paper and crayons) and serve the meal to mom.
Treat mom to an afternoon dance party. Pick her favorite tunes, move the furniture (or go outside if the weather cooperates) and dance the day away.
Your family can’t go to see a first-run film right now. But that doesn’t have to stop you from having a movie night with mom. Choose a theme and pick flicks that match. Craft movie tickets, pop popcorn and create a candy bar of goodies for mom to choose from.
