St. Patrick’s Day Sweet Treats the Whole Family Can Make Together
Are you looking for an easy, and sweet, St. Patrick’s Day recipe? If you’re not an expert baker, but you want to create a buffet of goodies for your family’s holiday party, check out these tasty treats! And bonus, these ideas are easy enough for the kids to help make too.
Put your leftover Valentine’s Day heart-shaped cookie cutters to use again. Choose your favorite sugar cookie recipe or use a boxed mix. Roll out the dough and cut out heart shapes. You’ll need three for each cookie. Arrange the hearts in three’s, with the points facing in and towards each other to create shamrocks. Add an extra slice of dough at the bottom as a stem. Bake the cookies and frost them with green icing—after they cool.
Shamrock Milk Shake
Give the kids a chilly sweet treat and whip up some minty green magic. Blend mint ice cream, milk and one or two drops of green food coloring together. The more ice cream you add, the thicker you’ll make the shake. Pour the shake into a tall, clear glass and top with whipped cream and green sprinkles.

Bake a batch of your favorite vanilla cupcakes. use a boxed mix if it’s easier or quicker. Top the cupcakes, after they cool, with a dollop of green frosting. Add to the green theme and sprinkle emerald-colored crystal sugar onto the frosting or create “gold coins” with sliced bananas!
