Father’s Day Activity Ideas with a Newborn
Now that baby is here it’s time for dad to celebrate his first Father’s Day. Even though your infant is far from active, that doesn’t mean dad and his newborn can’t have an adventure-packed day. If you just had a baby, and Father’s Day is approaching, check out these fun family ideas. The proud papa will appreciate the effort!
Pack a picnic lunch, filling a basket with fresh fruit, cut veggies, dad’s favorite sandwiches and (of course) a sweet treat. Take baby for a stroll to the local park, cover the grass with a blanket and spend some together-time dining al fresco.
If dad is an art enthusiast, this is perfect for him. Just because baby can’t discuss the art on a gallery’s walls doesn’t mean you can’t bring your brand-new little love to the museum. Make sure baby is well-fed and ready to rest. Take a stroll around the art museum as your newborn naps.
Movie Night In
Going to a movie theater with a baby in tow isn’t exactly advisable. Even though your infant sleeps for most of the day, it’s not likely they’ll rest (without crying) for an entire film. Instead of going out, bring movie night to dad. Pick his favorite flicks, pop some popcorn and relax on the couch next to baby’s bassinet.
