Barbecued Country Ribs
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs. country
style pork ribs sauce
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 med.
onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1/2 cup celery,
chopped
- 4 tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 3 tbsp.
worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard(mild or hot)
- 1 tsp.
celery salt
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to
425°F
- lay ribs in shallow 13x9 or larger pan, roast at 425°F for 30
min.
In the meantime make sauce:
- Saute onion, pepper and celery
in the oil till soft
- add all other ingredients
- simmer for
around 20 minutes
- Pour sauce over ribs after the 30 min.
roasting period
- Reduce oven to 325 and roast for 1-1/2 - 2 hours.
- Servce over hot buttered noodles.

Comments
To keep ribs
from drying out while roasting - from time to time spoon
sauce over the ribs while roasting.
