Fourth of July Kids’ Party Game Ideas
Keep the kids busy during your July 4th party with a day of fun-filled, family-friendly games. If you’re looking for a few options that will wow at your next backyard bash, check out these perfect party picks!
Red, White and Blue-loons
Fill red, white and blue balloons with water. Split the kids into two teams, giving each their own stash of balloons. You’ll need plenty of space for them to run around, as they duck, hide and throw the balloons at each other. This is an ideal way to cool down on a hot July day.
Freeze red, white and blue ice cubes. Use red and blue food coloring to make the colorful cubes (use plain cubes for the ‘white’ ones). Another option is to add a hint of flavor/scent by freezing juice drinks instead of food-colored water. Place the cubes on a long piece of white paper—use rolled butcher paper or gift wrap. Give each child a spoon and have them race (two at a time), pushing the cubes down the paper. Whoever gets to the end with the largest cubes is the winner.
Red, White and Blue Relay
Gather together adult-sized clothes (t-shirts, button downs, pants, skirts) in red, white and blue solid colors. Split the kids into two teams. Each child must race from a starting line to a pile of clothes, find red, white and blue pieces, put the clothes on and race back. The next child must carry the clothes back, find new picks to wear and dress themselves, racing back afterwards.
