July 4th Outdoor Party Games for Kids
Are you planning a family Fourth of July party? If you need activities for the kids, check out these fun Fourth games for children of all ages!
Star Spangled Hopscotch
Draw a red, white and blue hopscotch board on the sidewalk or patio space. Write each number in red, white or blue also. Make your own markers with painted pebbles and play game after game of Fourth-themed hopscotch.
Choose a selection of red, white and blue balloons. Blow up the balloons and place them in a grassy area. Give each child a large wooden spoon (or a similar utensil). Name a color. Each child must find the color of balloon, place it on a spoon and bounce it. Name a second and third color. The children can try to bounce two and three balloons at one time on the spoon. Whoever can bounce the most balloons or bounce one balloon for the longest wins.
Red, White and Blue Race
Divide the children into three teams—red, white and blue. Place a colorful marker (such as a painted rock or streamer) at the start and end of each “race track.” Have the children race each other to the end of the track and back. Make the game harder (and more fun!) and ask the kids to race using silly walks or by dancing down the track.
