GAUCHOS: Is a term commonly used to describe residents of
South American Pampa Region or Patagonian grasslands.
The Gaucho could be the equivalent to the North American ?Cowboy? and it represents better the XIXth century than these days. Back then, Gauchos made up for the main rural population, herding cows and hunting as their main economic activities. Gauchos were generally nomadic.
