Valentine’s Day Breakfast Ideas
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a heartfelt, and heart-themed, breakfast. The kids can help you to create this family morning meal—with a sweet holiday style! From pancakes to breakfast sandwiches, these ideas are easy to make and tasty to eat.
Mini Heart-Shaped Pancakes
Making heart-shaped pancakes is an art. But that doesn’t mean you need to practice creating perfect hearts from raw batter. Instead, simply make the traditional type of circle-shaped breakfast treats. Use a heart cookie cutter to make mini Valentine’s Day pancakes. Cover the cakes with a layer of sweet syrup and red, white and pink sprinkles.
Valentine’s Breakfast Sandwich
Pancakes aren’t the only place to use a heart-shaped cookie cutter. Cut hearts from thick Italian bread and toast the shapes. Layer scrambled eggs, cheese, lettuce or anything else your family wants top.
Make a batch of your favorite muffins or use a boxed mix. Add Valentine’s colors to the muffins. Blend in raspberries or strawberry slices to get a distinct red holiday color. After the muffins cool, top them with a drizzle of white icing and pink heart-shaped sprinkles. Plate the muffins on a holiday-themed dish or platter. Surround the breakfast baked goods with more red berries for a finished look!
