Christmas Gift Wrap Crafts for Kids
It’s almost time for Christmas. And that means you have more than a few gifts to wrap. Before running out and buying roll after roll of wrapping paper, get crafty and have the kids create their own. From boxes and bags to sheets of artsy gift wrap, you can treat the grandparents, aunts and uncles or anyone else who is special in your child’s life to these cute creations.
Cut a kitchen sponge into triangle shapes, dip it into green tempera paint and press it onto plain white gift wrap. What do you get? Crafty Christmas tree paper!
Dress up a plain white take-out container for the holidays. Paint the outside red and green, cover it with craft paper or collage tissue paper onto it. Stash the gift inside and complete the look with a pretty bow on top.
Unroll a sheet of plain gift wrap, break out the crayons and let your little artist draw the day away. Tear off pieces when you’re ready to wrap your gifts.
Instead of pictures, have your child write words onto plain pieces of wrapping or butcher paper. Ask your creative kid to think of holiday-themed words for this alphabet art activity. An alternative idea is to have your child write the holiday words onto solid-colored gift bags.
