Christmas S’Mores for Kids
The Christmas cookies are baking. Or are they? The holidays are a busy time of year. And that means you may not have a few hours free to bake holiday cookies. Don’t stress about giving your family sweet treats. If you need desserts for a holiday party or something special at the end of a family meal, these Christmas s’mores are no-bake goodies that won’t disappoint.
Red and Green
Even though traditional s’mores are made from brown chocolate bars, these use colors to create a holiday theme. Melt white chocolate on the stove or in the microwave (an adult should do this step, as melted chocolate presents a burn hazard). Mix red and green food coloring in to two separate batches. Drizzle the colorful chocolate onto graham crackers. Let the chocolate cool. Use the crackers to make a marshmallow and white chocolate stack.
Do you have plenty of holiday cookies at home? If friends and family continue to gift you with more and more cookies, swap out the graham crackers for the baked goods. Sandwich in a marshmallow and chocolate to make a holiday-themed s’more.
Create a traditional s’more (with graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate). Cover the top graham with green icing. Decorate the the “tree” with sprinkles, colorful crystals sugar, chocolate chips and mini marshmallows.
