Here for your consideration is one of the most beautiful displays of the Historic Days of Very Early Radio that I have ever seen! Labeled „The Crystal Family from Quackertown“, these three radios will certainly bring back the time you saw or made your first crystal set from a box of Quaker Oats- winding the wire around the box, making the slide tuning assembly, and tuning the „cat’s whisker“ crystal to hear your first radio station!! The display is 18“ x 10“ x 6“. I bought this at a radio show 20 years ago, and it’s been on my shelf ever since. I assume all of these sets work if you’d like to try them. Each set was made with a coil wound on the box under the label, a tuning slider attached, binding posts for headphones, antenna, and ground. The left set marked „Father Pyrite Crystal“is made from an Old Fashion Quaker Oats box with the Old Quaker on the front. This set uses a Pyrite Crystal. The smaller center set labeled „Daughter Gelena Crystal“ is made with a fixed Gelena diode crystal on a Minute Quick Child’s box. The right set is labeled „ Mother Perikon Crystal“ and is made from a Quick Mother’s Oats Box. This is the only display like this I have ever seen, and I’d be suprised if you’ve seen one.
