Here is anice1851 in date Swedish naval boarding cutlassin good originalcondition. The nicely shapedblade is in good clean original condition witha few nicks due use many years ago and light pittingwhich can be seen in the photos. The wooden griphas a nice patinadue to age and is tight with no looseness. The large bowl shaped steel guard has a crown makers mark and the stamped rack storage number '399'. This cutlass would have been used against smuglers and pirates etc. In the 19th century Sweden was very involved in the slave trade particularlyin the Caribean and the very valuable cargohad to be protected from pirate attacksetc. In total measuring28.4 inches long and the blade measures21.9 inches long.
