You may have your own shipper pick it up from Manhattan, pick it up locally, or I can arrange the shipping. The Desk: Small Writing Desk. Early 15th Century Panel and Lions. Wood, approx. 66 x 102 cm. The Base is Biedermeier period when it was fashioned into a writing desk for a Austrian Castle in the de Kolb family. Provenance: Eric de Kolb (see: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_de_Kolb) Condition: the important 15th century panel is in good condition as depicted. There are two 15th century lions supporting the panel when pulled out and the desk is opened. One support of one lion under the desk is severed and in need of repair (a relatively easy repair). There are some additional French 17th century ornamental elements added to the desk at a later date. The top of the desk had a glass and light that was removed for safety reasons. It is now open at top and could be covered with a piece of wood or glass or a have proper light wire and installed.Overall, this is a truly remarkable and unique desk that is an immediate conversation piece.
