Victorian 1860-80 Mop - Deeply Carved Coin Purse W/ Unusual Scene Nr For Sale
We have just bought some great smalls from two very old collectors estates, some wonderful 18th and 19th Century Snuff Boxes and Several nice late 19th Century Calling Card Cases as well as many other antique smalls. Here is a beautiful deeply carved MOP Coin Purse from the Victorian period 1860-1880s. This type of coin purse was carried by the well to do ladies and would hold gold or silver coins. Purse is 3 in. x 2 3/4 in. and is excellent condition. Has very unusual scene of what looks like a father coming home scene being greeted by his daughter & the family dog.
