1890's Sterling Silver Waite Thresher & D C Percival Gold Thimble With Fluting For Sale
If you are the high buyer on more then one of my sales please wait until I e-mail you an invoice so you can save on shipping. This is a Complex 1890's Sterling Silver Waite, Thresher And D C Percival Co. Gold Thimble With Deep Fluted Design Band. In the apex (inside top) is the trademark for Waite, Thresher And D. C. Percival Co. I have never seen both trademarks in the apex of this thimble. The trademark for Waite, Thresher is a five pointed star, and the trademark for D. C. Percival is an Old English P in a circle. D. C. Percival Co. of Boston was established by David C.Percival in 1864 as a manufacturer, jobber and importer, The gold band has a deep fluting between each of the twelve panels, the four different panels have a interesting relation to one another. Panel A is narrow with chased scrolls; panel B is narrow with chased circles connected by diagonals; panel C is concentric circles as though the end view of a scroll; and panel D is plain. The pattern is A-B-C-B-A-D-A-S-C-B-A-D. The plain panel has the size 6. There are no holes, and it is in round. The thimble is 3/4" tall, and the diameter of the opening is 9/16".I have insurance for U.S.A. buyers for .99 cents for $100, and for the international buyers it is $1.25 for $100.00.The only thing I ask of the international buyers is that they please speak English and can communicate with me.
