A: Air flow always in the same direction no matter which way the terminals are connected. Minimal assembly is required and no tools are needed. Setup should take 2 minutes. 1. Attach the DC connector leads to the copper terminals located at the top of the of the pump. Note that it doesn't matter which way round the terminals are connected; the air will flow the same direction. 2. Connect your own 12V DC 2A supply with 2.1mm male plug into the DC connector (or skip 1. if you want to connect your supply directly to the pump's terminals). 3. Find the small arrows marked on the pump's plastic inlet (air intake) and outlet (exhaust) barbs. 4. Connect your own 6mm (1/4") internal diameter hose to the pump's inlet. Note: Please don't use jubilee clips on the hose as they actually create air gaps; 6mm (1/4") internal diameter hose makes a perfect seal onto the pump's barbs without any help.
