I am pleased to offer the crown of all mechanical watches; This is a fantastic and original Patek Philippe, probably the finest Swiss maker of all times including today, a fine dress watch of the highest standards known as \"Reference 1438\' which is a pretty rare ref, from 1942. In excellent overall condition, keeping accurate time and comes with a Patek Philippe extract from the archives to complete your authenticity documentation!

Movement:

State of the art and legendary PATEK PHILIPPE manual wind movement.
This is a fine and sought after 9-90 caliber, running well on 18 jewels.
The movement is working well and clean, keeping good time.

Case,
Crystal & Crown:

Original and signed PATEK PHILIPPE 18K solid yellow gold case in beautiful design with what appesrs to be \'double lugs\'. There were some internet discussions about those lugs which do appear to be original. The back is nicely brushed and appears to have very shallow residues of past engraving which is almost invisible. In the photos there is a protective sticker on the back, hence the bubbles. It has original crown and original faceted mineral crystal as well with several scratches but overall very nice condition.

Dial &
Hands :

100% ORIGINAL FACTORY MADE Sterling silver dial and hard enamel black lettering with original solid gold applied markers/numerals. In overall very good shape with just a few small signs. Has original set of solid gold hands.

Tip for collectors:
Despite popular demand for refinished clean dials, I am aware of collectors\' search and sensitivity for original dials. Therefore any dials known to be refinished, will be clearly mentioned in the dial section of the description. Otherwise, dial is believed to be 100% original.

Size: Measures 24 mm side to side (excluding crown) and 42 mm lug to lug.

Equipped with a brand new quality French hand made black genuine leather band, slim and elegant - 15 mm wide. The band has a generic buckle.

It is also worthy to mention that all details, as well as case and movement numbers match the item.
