This is a Beautiful and Little Known Piece of US History. Its funny how different intoxicants in our country are treated in such different ways. Its Great in my Opinion that in this day and age, 15+ states have given those with a PROVENMedical Necessity the right to FIGHT to get Medical Cannabis. BUT , On the very first day of National Alcohol Prohibition, there was a Provision in the law that allowed people to get a prescription from their doctor for MEDICAL Alcohol. At first they were normal white Prescriptions but as people got smart, the US Treasury Started printing hard to Duplicate forms such as this one.

These are Original Alcohol Prescriptions that were issued forSpiritsFrumenti, the USApharmaceuticalterm forWhiskey, by the James Pharmacy on Light St in the Federal Hill Section of Baltimore in 1920 & 1922. They measure 4 1/4\" X 6 1/2\"
We originally found a handful of these. All have a center hole punched in them from being placed on the letter holder at the Pharmacy once filled.

The books were issued by, and reads:

Prescription Blank-National Prohibition Act

The date on these prescriptions are March,4th, 18th, May 5th1922, and one is November 9th,1920

MdArchitectural Rescue is a different type of recycling company. We have operated in Baltimore and surrounding areas since 1996. After starting out rescuing fireplace mantles and cast iron door locks from construction dumpsters, we have opened our eyes to may types of waste that are often over looked and fall through the cracks. Our focus is and always will be vintage items of the highest quality. But with our eyes now open we put a lot of effort in bringing you high end collectibles from every industry available and at a very reasonable price. All our items are salvaged and are for the most part American Made. One week we could be in an old School, Brewery, Factory, and the following weekat a Shipyard or Power plant, you just never know. Also, one day we may be removing Vintage lighting, the next day Signs and Vintage blueprints and the following day cleaning out a machine shop or high end parts room.
