ART DECO Chalkware Lady in CHAMPAGNE Satin GOWN Wolfhound Dog STATUE c1920s:

Here is a lovely vintage, almost antique Chalkware statue of a elegant woman in a champagne satin gown and her wolfhound Borzi dog. She has a bouquet of roses in her arm, and is barefoot.The statue measures 10 1/4 ins. long and 13 1/2 ins. tall The base is about 3 14/16th ins. deep. The statue is made of chalkware/plaster has been painted and has its original paint. These statues were made as less expensive alternatives to buying a Royal Doulton statue or other more famous pottery brands.
The condition is fair/good as is vintage condition with some edgewear tiny chips that could be re-painted, fissure cracks in the woman\'s neck and dog\'s neck. Neither look to have been broken and re-glued. The paint finish is original and is worn in areas but still looks good.This is a heavier chalkware statue, not one of the hollow ones.
I would date this statue to the 1920 to early 1930s time period.Perfect for authentic art Deco, Art Nouveau, Shabby, Romantic and 1920-30s decors.Many Thanks,
