This impressive wall mount display cabinet is from France and it dates to the late 1800\'s. It is made from solid and veneered walnut, except for the shelves and back panel which are oak. This is a beautiful cabinet finished to a warm dark walnut color. The deeply carved tableau on the door is exceptional and in excellent condition. There are presently two shelves and the brackets are not adjustable. However, it would be easy to add shelves and adjustable brackets. The lock does not operate but there is a key to use as a door handle. The door opens smoothly and stays shut as it should. Overall this cabinet is in very good antique condition with only very minor nicks and scratches. Special note: this cabinet is constructed from a larger antique cabinet that has been repurposed by reducing the thickness and other dimensions of the original cabinet. Dimensions: 36.5\" tall, 35\" wide (at the crown) and 14\" deep (at the crown). The shelves are 5.5\" deep.
