Cotton Japanese Tenugui Cloth 'the Wave' By Hokusai For Sale
If you buy more than
one tenugui or furoshiki design, to get the flat rate shipping special detailed below, please wait for me to make a single combined invoice with
the adjusted shipping total before you pay. Tenugui are traditional Japanese cotton cloths. They were originally used as hand towels and head bands, but are used today mainly as room accents and come in a huge variety of motifs. These would make striking room accents, on a wall or a table. I'm offering a selection of designs that I've chosen based on the work of renowned woodblock print artists and historical figures. These traditional motifs have been printed with care on quality, 100% cotton and are about 100 x 35cm(39.37 x 13.78"). The design in this listing is based on an ukiyo-e woodblock print most often known as 'The Wave' in English by one of the masters, the artist Hokusai. If you've purchased my furoshiki wrapping cloths, please note that tenugui cotton is a plain weave that is lighter that the fabric used for most of my furoshiki, and it is flat, with a plain texture, more similar to the sort of fabric used for bandanas.
Airmail anywhere in the world is just $3. Please check out my other listings for more tenugui as well as a large selectiuon of furoshiki! These make great gifts, and I'm offering a special
flat rate shipping charge, too. Buy more than one tenugui or small
furoshiki that ship for $3 each, and you'll pay a flat
$3 shipping for all of them. Add a large furoshiki that ships for
$5.00, and the shipping will remain $5.00 no matter how many tenugui, large and
small furoshiki you buy.
