Click to View Image Album A lovely Georg Jensen sterling silver pedestal bowl or compote bowl consisting of a hammered bowl sitting on an acanthus and beaded base. We pulled this sale two days ago as there were many questions about the bowl being tilted. We measured the piece carefully and found a 1/8" difference between the height of the left side and height of the right.This bowl is 4" long by 3 3/4" wide and 2 1/2" tall. It is hallmarked with old hallmarks of Georg Jensen with a crown on the logo; GI with 925S in a lozenge;Denmark Sterling, 42D. This bowl is quite hefty weighing about 3.35 troy ounces. It is in good used condition and needs a friendly polish. No monograms or mischief. We are sorry again that we had to pull the sale but we want people to accurately what they are buying.
