Gibson J 50 Vintage Acoustic Guitar 1959:
This is a very solid 1959 Gibson J-50 Natural. This 54 year old beauty has been professionally hydrated, repaired and resprayed lightly with nitro laquer. Had a crack in back (see the pic showing the cleats inside). Also the soundboard had a small separation below the bridge, common on a guitar of this age. As you can see from the side veiw there is almost no bridge pull! Therefore the action is good. This guitar sounds and plays great, frets have little wear. The finish has been preserved so much of the the patina is still there. It still looks old as it should! Will include a generic hardshell case

here is the serial Factory Order Numbers with a Letter, 1952 to 1961. This letter preceeds the batch number within the Factory Order Number (FON), and denotes the year of manufacturer. Remember, the batch number is the first 4 digits of the FON, followed by a 1 or 2 digit sequence number (within the batch). This letter should be before the FON batch number. This was used on archtop models (ink stamped inside treble F-hole) and on flat top models (ink stamped on the neck block), from 1952 to 1961: Year Letter
