Up for sale is this pair of vintage California Pottery Giraffes by Howard Pierce. Large giraffe is 12 inches tall and baby giraffe is 5 1/2 inches tall. Both appear to be in very good to excellent condition, with no signs of breaks or repair. I'm unsure of their rarity, but I have seen similar sales end at or over $100 for these pieces individually. Howard Pierce was a famous artist that created various sculptures from the 1930's until his death in 1994. His main medium was porcelain, although he also used concrete, plastic, brass, pewter, plaster, etc. Howard has created several large concrete statues, but is most especially known for his bird and animal porcelain figurines. This item will ship via USPS medium flat rate box, which includes tracking number. Items usually ship within 1 business day upon receiving payment. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I will respond as fast as possible. Thank you for your time, and happy offerding!!!
