154 photos in an album to Fw. Edgar Berthold, a confirmed Me262 pilot!!!. The album spans from 1938 to 1941 although his career spanned throughout the war with him eventually flying the Me-262 at wars end. Staffel barracks at Goslar, many unit emblems on aircraft including KG-77 and 1.(F)/120, also great photos of barracks life, daggers and awards in wear, aerial recon photos of Warsaw, Poland, with images of the city under attack, bridges being bombed, Bomb damage at the citys water works and aerial photos of the polish city of Modlin under attack. Many great photos of aircraft including various Ju-88s, He-111s and Fw-190s, aircrews, planes being serviced German airbases life in the field, flak damage to planes, peasants, Panzer troops, mission celebrations, portraits, shot down German planes, formal funerals, grave sites and flak balloons. Also photos of time in the Mediterranean and Greece with photos of various monuments and points of interest crashed British Bristol aircraft, time in the Balkans with photos of the locals and destroyed Russian tanks and armor as well as a drawing of a Me-262 by Berthold with a notation that he flew them late war. Of interesting note Berthold was assigned to 1. which was formed in 1942 in Berlin-Reichssportfeld, to fly the finished aircraft from the factories to the frontline units as well as being assigned JG- 7 late war.
