Model 1917, Transitional Ww2 Era, Austrian Field Police, Double Decal Helmet For SaleAn Original and Beautiful, Complete Example of a WW1 Era, Model 1917 to Transitional WW2 German Era, Austrian Field Police, Double Decal Helmet with Liner and Chin Strap! This is a beautiful example of a WW1 Model 1917 Austrian Helmet that was converted for use in WW2! The Helmet is a Double Decal Helmet, however, the decals have been defaced and there are no Offensive symbols visible on the helmet. The helmet appears to have had several lives as it appears to have been originally apple green painted for service. I imagine, general Army use. The helmet was then painted in another shade of Green, which has apparently flaked and rubbed off during the years. The Helmet is stamped with what appears to be "LGKT" on the back, inside section. The 3 piece, padded Leather liner is surprisingly intact and is actually in beautiful condition, except for the Green paint overspray in the liner area! The Liner is penned "229". The Liner rivets are tight and appear to be Very Original as well! The chinstrap, buckle and components are also in beautiful condition! If this helmet had the decals intact, it would be sitting in my collection! The Helmet has a beautiful shape, no dents, dings or rust and would be a wonderful piece for the collector of German Helmets! Winning buyer to add $12.35 postage and handling. PA Residents to add 6% state sales tax. Good Luck and Happy offerding!!!
