There are many ways to incorporate artwork into the decorating scheme of your room. First, choose a color for the room. The color will then help you to determine a theme. For instance if you choose blue you can easily introduce a sailing, beach, maritime, or nautical theme. Blue can be water or sky. It is a great color for either a boy or girl. Once you have chosen a color, you can then look for appropriate bedding that compliments your color.

An inexpensive way to make your room more whimsical and fun is to stencil designs on the wall. Most art stores or home improvement stores have a variety of these available. I suggest that you choose a pattern that is not too dramatic so that it overpowers every other design element you introduce to the room.
