Offering for your consideration a matched pair of French antique tole jardinieres or vases in the Napoleon III manner of the late 19th century.
This handsome toleware pair are hand painted on all four sides with various shades of gold in a decorative flower and leaf pattern. Each vase rests on a platform which has dainty brass ormolu feet.
The pair measures 12 3/4\" tall by 7\" square at the top opening by 7\" square at the feet.
The condition is excellent overall. There is a crackled \"alligator\" finish on one side of one vase and a bit of fine rust on the interior bottoms, where at one time water must have been used to hold fresh flowers. This is negligible and not at all noticeable when the pair is displayed. Please see all photos which are a part of the description.
