The author of \"our\" oil on copper miniature, while modeling it on the black-and-white print, erroneously mistook the Tsar\'s sash for that of the Russian Order of St. Anna (this order was established ten years after Peter the Great\'s death). In reality, in Karel de Moor\'s portrait, the Tsar is depicted with the sash of the (established by him in 1698) Order of St. Andrew the Apostle the First-Called.
