RARE! 1928 GRUEN \"QUADRON\" 157 SWISS ART DECO MEN WATCH 14K WHITE GF !ALL ORIGINAL!
I am pleased to offer this amazing and rare early GRUEN wrist watch known as the Quadron. This particular design first appeared in 1928 catalog. It is ALL original and in great shape, running and keeping good time and ready to add to any Art Deco fine collection!
Movement:State of the art GRUEN Swiss manual wind movement.
This is a fine legendary 157 caliber, developed by ALPINA and running well on 15 jewels. This particular hi grade innovative caliber is nothing less than a Patek Philippe or a Rolex of the same era. In fact, Rolex used the exact same caliber in some of their watches of the same era. Very fine finish and mechanical ideas.
The movement is working well and clean, keeping good time.
Crystal & Crown:
Original and signed GRUEN 14K white gold filled case in very good shape for its age with minimal wear on top corners only. Original crown and original glass faceted crystal with very few light scratches only.
Dial &Hands :
100% ORIGINAL FACTORY MADE Sterling silver dial with hard enamel print. This is THE original dial from the factory, it is not refinished. The dial has had its radium luminous material removed as originally it contained hazardious radioactive substance. Instead Super-Luminova with simulated radium-tone was manually applied on the original design and now the dial and hands are glowing nicely in the dark and hazard-free! With original set of hands.
Tip for collectors:
Despite popular demand for refinished clean dials, I am aware of collectors\' search and sensitivity for original dials. Therefore any dials known to be refinished, will be clearly mentioned in the dial section of the description. Otherwise, dial is believed to be 100% original.

Equipped with a brand new quality and nice soft thick genuine leather band in black, 16 mm wide.
