Wonderful c. 1920s Art Deco flapper beaded purse featuring a lovely carved ? jeweled celluloid frame. Frame has a double-sided design. Painted frame features birds which look like they are carved or pressed into the celluloid. Somewhat of an Egyptian motif. Beads are tiny including a combination of steel ones and glass ones. Glass bead colors are red,blue yellow, green, amber, black and brownish. The fringe includes some very interesting yellow \"barrel\" type beads.
The hand bag is beautifully lined with a floral trim. Purse looks like it was lightly used and is in fine vintage condition. Lining is in great shape. Purse closes properly. There is some bead loss on the handle as well as in the fringe. See photographs. Purse measures approximately 11 inches from the top of the clasp to the middle bottom of the fringe. Approximately 7 inches across at the greatest point. Also approximately 4-3/4 inches from frame hinge to hinge. Buy it now or make a best offer.
