I was very fortunate to purchase this incredible Circa 1860s, 4 pc Set (most likely) SOUTHERN SOLDIER untouched 1.) HAND CARVED CRUTCH Peg Fastened YOLK WOOD SHAFT with ARM REST . Some cracks in shaft. But Solid. 43\". Reference Francis A. Lord civil War Collectibles pg. 83. 2.) A WOOD PEG LEG 18\" with IRON BRACES ( 20\" & 7\" ). Classic in its design during 1860s. Both Crutch and Peg Leg were made for shorter Soldier, as men were shorter back in Civil War era. 3.) One Left Foot OFFICER RIDING BOOT 16 1/2\" high / SIZE 9 1/2\"( slanted on inside top). With its 4.) ORIGINAL WOOD BOOT STRETCHER - which has not been moved by seller. Nor did I move it. All found in Attic. I am thinking all these related items belonged to a Young man Size of Handmade crutch along with small size of boot. All same Soldier. Collection of Doneldon M. Dennis
