Rare and georgeous Roseville Futura Jardiniere, it looks like a piece of modern art but originates from the 1920s - it measures 7" tall by 8 1/2 " wide . The sharply angled sides give rise to the angular handles - this thing screams art deco !Inovative use of color and geometric shapes was used on the bamboo leaves . The Futura line was the most experimental of all the Roseville creations and were not marked . Each piece in the Futura line has a nickname by enthusiastic collectors - such as the bomb , the balloon , and the tank - not sure of the nickname for this particular thing . No visible chips or cracks that I can see other than some light crackling on the rim ( zoom in on the picture ) . I will take extra care in packaging for safe arrival - the post office has not broken anything so far ! Any questions - holler back !
