They began with vases and jugs and it was in 1956 when they first started producing sculptures for which they are now most famous.NAO Figurines are handmade in Spain by Lladro\', made in the same Valencia Spain workshops as the renowned Lladro\' collectibles. NAO (pronounced \"Now\") porcelain figurines are expertly handcrafted by a team of sculptors who capture treasured moments in time, beloved memories, and innocent interactions in the figures they make. First commercialized under the name of Rosal in 1967. NAO borrowed its name from the old sailing boats from the time of Columbus and symbolizes a return journey to origins, conveying creativity, skill and magic. This is how the dream of the Lladro brothers came into being: to make porcelain figurines affordable for lovers of beauty.
