Welcome to my sale! Up for offer is an antique John Bull clear glass eye washcup. The bottom of this eye cup says \"Pat. Aug. 14 1917 - 1236597 - Trade - John Bull - Mark - Reg. U.S. Pat Off.\". Trade is VERY faint - hard to see. I tried to capture as much of the writing as I could in the last two photos. VERY difficult - sorry. From base to top measures about2 1/2\" tall. Diameter of base is almost 1 3/4\". John Bulleye cups have an unusual bulbous shape with pushed in sides on the cup.The cup has a very nice shaped pedestal. What I like most about these cups is when you look down intothe cupfrom the top, where the pedestal connects, it looks like an eyeball looking back at you - see pictures 5 and 6.Please look at all pictures CAREFULLY as they are part of my description. I am selling this item as found.

PLEASE READ MY DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY, as I try to list every flaw I see.I see no cracks or chips in this item. The edge around the base feels rough in a couple spots, but it appears to be the seam in the glass. There might be a smaller than flea bite size chip along the base edge where the seam is, but I can not see it even with a magnifying glass. Theeye cupis in very good vintage condition. This would be a great addition to someone\'s vintage medical or optical collection.
