Vintage German Sterling Silver & Enamel Stone Top Thimble, Italian Import Marks
DESCRIPTION

Vintage German sterling silver thimble with green stone crown and knurled body over a green guilloché enamel border decorated with pink roses and leaves motifs. Made by Lotthammer of Pforzheim, Germany. Stamped 5 (the size) and 925 for sterling silver in the knurling. Also stamped with Italian import marks - a star, 46 and VC - indicating it was re-assayed in Vercelli, Italy. Probably dates to the 1970s. In excellent condition - in round with no holes, dents or damage to the enamel. Height approx. 2.3 cm; internal base diameter approx. 1.6 cm; weight 4.7 grams.
