C1870s Bru French Fashion Doll With Original Clothes, Rare Body Style:
A very beautiful antique French Bru Doll. The French Fashion Doll is complete with what I believe are her original clothes which includes a wool coat, stockings and shoes. There are additional clothes including a silk gown (unfinished), a cotton dress and cotton slips. The doll have blue eyes and her original hair which has been cut. She is not marked. Her hands are porcelain and her jointed body is kid leather, it is in very good condition. She has a rare body style with her arms tucked under the shoulder plate. She stands 16" head to toe. The Doll is just as she was found from an estate, her clothing is soiled and she could use a cleaning. The silk gown she is wearing has some fraying and is dry but it displays nicely and I wouldn't change it. There is a tight hairline behind her right ear which I show in a closeup photo. The Doll would make a fine addition to a French Fashion collection, she is a Rare Gem! ***Please note I will not be able to answer any questions until a day before this sale ends.
