Extremely rare book, almost unobtainable (as one reviewer said). Searched for by treasure hunters everywhere. Written by Deek Gladson, pen name for the original treasure hunting genius and prolific author, Karl von Mueller (Do a search for his other books for some fantastic reading on the art of treasure hunting). This is a well-researched book on the LUE treasure, a legendary huge treasure, widely discussed and conjectured about on treasure hunting forums, the likes of which may or may not have been discovered and recovered yet.
From the cover: “An incredible, documented story of a cave of gold that may be worth billions. Intrigue, danger, wealth, history…since 1905. High adventure in the Sangre de Christos.” I have not seen this book listed on or amazon for quite some time now. This may be the time for you to acquire this rare tome and perhaps strike out in search of your share of great fortune.
Good+ to Very good condition. Defects: title page separated about 1” at bottom, the rest of the page intact. Former owner’s address label attached to inside front cover. Front and back covers bumped at top and bottom, as they are slightly larger than the bound pages. Page 13/14 was has a crease down near center. Some minor stray marks and creasing on the front and back covers. Some bumping on the spine. Also, there is some underlining, both by typewriter and by hand, but when I compared it with another photocopy of a different TVOS, all were underlined the same, line for line. None of these factors affect the usability of the text, just describing for the sake of completeness. Actually, it is in great condition for a 46 year old softcover book.
