For sale is this boxed Royal limited edition of 2000 Spode PAHLAVI PLATE. Other than a tiny scratch under the crownit isin lovely condition.It is approx. 26.7cm or 10 1/2 inches across and is beautifully decorated in gold.This item came from the estate (directly from the family) of the first New Zealand Ambassador to Iran, Bruce Brown (also Ambassador to Pakistan). Theplate was presented to him (served 1975-1978). The wooden framed photograph is of Bruce Brown shaking Muhammad Reza Shah Pahlavi's hand in 1975 at the Niavaran palace in Tehran, the Shah's final residence before his overthrow four years later.The wooden frame for this isPersian and had been inlaid with bone, wood and other materials, it is approx. 31.2cm or 12 7/16 inchesin lengthx 26cm or 10 1/4 inches across. If you do a search for the Ambassador on the internet there is a matching photograph just before Bruce Brown shakes the Shah's hand. The frame does not go with this item, it is to go with the silverframed and signed photograph of Pahlavi I have listed.I have listed other items from the same estate including some nice silver boxes etc, so please view my other sales, there are some nice pieces.
