The front of the tin reads:
VINTAGE PATENT NO. 1SMOKELESSSHOT GUN POWDERMANUFACTURED BYTHEAMERICAN \"E.C.\" SCHULTZE POWDER CO.OFFICE & WORKSOAKLAND, BERGEN CO., N.J.
- The patent is: April 29, 1879. (The lettering is very tiny, on the bottom of the backside of the tin; but this appears to be the date.)
- Item measures approximately 3.5 in. x 5.5 in. x 1.5 in.
- Item is as seen, so please see the pictures for the exact item you are purchasing.
- Condition: The tin is dirty, but in excellent condition given its age and rarity. There is minor paint chipped/wear, however, no large dents or evident damage. Minimal rust, if any. The original orange paint is still vibrant. It still has its original cap. The graphics/words are legible. There does appear to be some stains/spills; however, I have not attempted to remove any kind of dirt/spills/etc., as I do not want to wear down the paint/etc. I will leave this duty to the discretion of the lucky buyer!
