An unusual brocade paneldepictingtreasure boatsdescendingtowards the viewer, filled with piles of treasure motifs traditionally associated with wealth and high class: you can see these stylized motifs in the boat in the foreground, complete with a piece ofcoral to the left side. The main boatwith tall sails is also decorated with traditional motifs and has on it an entire palace with stately roof tiles - coincidentally, this kind of depiction resembles very much the kind of depiction of Chinese dragon boats, which makes this design very interesting. Note that "treasure" includes health, prominentlyrepresented by beautiful clusters of pines rendered in gold thread that sort of "hover" over the boats somewhat like clouds. The ivory backgroundalso has woven-in wave designs (some, at the top, crashing on rocks)and also haze/mist expressed in gold thread, interspersed with the wave design.
Colors: Antique ivory base;colorful piece: dominant gold, withgreen, purple, blue, light brown, a couple shades of brick-reddish brown, etc.The picture colors appear to be accurate on my monitors, but please remember that monitors may differ.
Use:Atruly that will make anamazing addition to your collection or make a gorgeous focal piece for a very special project! You can make a beautiful display out of it with minimal effort, or even use it as it is (the edges are cut neatly and have noloose threads), asarunner/matunder a candle holder or other ornamental object. It also makes a stunning wall hanging/framed display to brighten up your space.
A very rare, dynamicbrocade to love!
