This is a treasured discovery by a collector. Her husband purchased this for her several years ago at Downtown Disney. She did not display it on her tree, and this recent Christmas, when she found it and opened the box to hang it on her tree, she noticed that the bottom is numbered -- 0001 -- of the limited edition of only 3000. A number 1. As she is not a collector, she is offering this as a very rare item. As a Disneyana collector myself at times, I have never seen a number 1 of any Disney collectible. The ornament is new with tag as shown, measures approx. 3 x 3 inches and is porcelain china not the stone resin from which the new Disney ear hat ornaments are made, making it a nice glossy shiny ornament which is much lighter than the heavier stone resin ornaments. You can see from the photograph of the bottom that perhaps the reason a number 1 is not seen in circulation is the glazing before firing the ornament was perfect. Interesting and extremely rare.
