The sale is for one very large 18th century antique handwritten manuscript leaf, inthe Burmese language of Myanmar, which is the former country of Burma.This black paper has writing using the distinctive script with white ink.It is made of thick, hand-made paper, which is formed from mulberry pulp.Thesize is about 5 in. x 16 in. This includes Buddhistteachings, mythology, and studies in astrology and numerology. Thisparticular leaf has a unique collectionof geometric boxes with letters insideeach that forms a compartmentalized design and a unique human figure holding something in his hand and standing onthe outside edge of the large square (see the 1stscanned image).
