Lot of 10 Uncleaned Roman Bronze Ancient coins
FreeUSA Shipping! About uncleaned ancient Roman coins: These are ancient Roman bronze coins, that were buried in the Balkans 1800 years ago. There were no banks, so people buried what was valuable.
About the age of the coins: These coins date as far back as the late 3rd century.
About the size of the coins: The coins are roughly between 22-7 mm . Each order comes with an assortment of random sizes. We do not cherry pick, so no one gets all small or only large coins.
Visual appearance of the coins: These coins have been covered with dirt for about 2000 years. I do try to pick out the obvious slugs and chipped or broken coins. Like archeology, sometimes you will be surprised with your astounding finds, and other times the coins are so worn out that the images and Latin text is unreadable.
Gold or Silver content in the coins: Beware of any uncleaned Roman coin dealers that advertise "gold or silver found", it is simply not true. Occasionally, I hear from customers who have found silver coins, usually heavily encrusted, and it went unnoticed by the people that sort the coins before sending them to me.
Value of the coins: There are many variations in the size and and mint of the coins, so it is possible to discover a unique coin. A few years ago, a buyer found a very small 9mm coin of an obscure emperor and later sold it for well over $500.
Identity of the coins: Identifying a coin depends on how much detail visible. If you are able to read all or part of the Latin words that circle the coin you may be able to identify the Emperor under whose reign it was minted. There are many websites available to help with your research.
The coins ship within 24 hours of receipt of payment.
