"Grouchy" Cat in 1:12 scale (one inch = one foot) by Kerri Pajutee, IGMA Fellow Artisan.
Kerri's miniature hand-sculptured OOAK cats are sought after and prized by collectors worldwide.
'Grouchy' was inspired (of course) after the likeness of a real life-sized kitty who just happens to be one of the latest 'furry favorite' personalities on the internet --known for its exceptional 'grumpy' expression. An irresistible model for creating a distinctive dollhouse miniature piece of art!
This miniature dollhouse cat was sculpted by the artist using firm polymer clay over a delicate wire armature. After curing the sculpture form in the oven, it was painted in acrylics and given a short, multi-colored coat of natural alpaca fibers and powder-fine flock. 'Grouchy' is a stationary sculpturecarefully fashioned in a classic kitty Buddha pose with splayed-out legs and slightly hunched shoulders. However, the tail is wire-based and can be gently curled or draped depending on whether it sits on a flat surface or tiny piece of furniture. 'Grouchys' other features include: hand-painted & crystal glazed blue eyes, inset transparent whiskers, and tiny pink paw pads.
'Grouchy' is a truly animated and versatile piece you can stage in your own miniature setting or display as a stand alone piece of art or conversation piece. As with all Kerri's miniature sculptures - this cat will not be duplicated, bears the artists mark on the bottom of its paw, and comes lovingly packed in a custom labeled box.
