NEW IN ORIGINAL PACKAGINGHISTORY: The 11th Engineer Battalion is one of the oldest Engineer battalions on active duty today. Organized in 1917 it has served in WWI, Panama, WWII, the Korean War, Kuwait, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Afghanistan. In the states it has served at Fort Belvoir, Fort Stewart and Fort Benning. It is currently stationed at Camp Humphreys, Korea where it supports the 2nd Infantry Division, the 8th US Army and the ROK Army. HISTORY: 11th Engineer Battalion "Jungle Cats"
Flagging of the 24th Infantry Division as the 3rd Infantry Division, part of a drawdown of US force levels in Europe that saw the 3rd Infantry Division return to the United States after over 30 years in Germany. In February 1998, the Battalion was alerted to deploy with the 1st Brigade Combat Team to Kuwait, in support of Operation Desert Thunder. The mission was to deter Iraqi aggression, assure coalition partners, and, if necessary, defend Kuwait. The Battalion successfully completed a rapid deployment to Camp Doha, Kuwait, and subsequently to the Kuwaiti desert, where it remained for over 4 months. During that time, the 11th Engineers supported the 3rd Infantry Division (Forward) as well as the 1st Brigade Combat Team. C Company, 10th Engineers remained at Fort Stewart, Georgia in support of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team and the 10th Engineer Battalion, fully prepared to deploy on order.

CAMP HUMPHREYS, KOREA. The 11th was inactivated at Fort Benning in November 2016 and reactivated at Camp Humphreys, Korea on 18 October 2017. The 11th’s mission in Korea is to provide Mobility, Counter-Mobility, Survivability, and General Engineer Support to the 2nd Infantry Division, 8th US Army, and the ROK Army allowing Freedom of Maneuver and a position of advantage over the enemy. Its current organization includes the folowing:

- A Forward
Support Company (FSC)
- A Mobility Augmentation Company (MAC)
- a Route Clearance Company (CC)
- An Engineer Support Company (ESC)
- A Multi Role Bridge Company (MRBC)
