DESCRIPTION:
This listing is for A German Gebrüder Heubach character boy doll for \"display\" or \"restoration\". Displays well with clothing and wig on but has \"multiple\" line cracks and some pieces missing on the head areas, there is a line crack repair under the chin and across to under the ears also, see photos please. His auburn human hair wig covers most of the flaws, you may wish to do further restorations. Incised on the back of head with number as shown, and Made in Germany. The numbers are faint. Reference tells me the Heubach family bought an established porcelain factory around 1843 in Lichte, Thuringia, Germany, where they produced porcelain figurines. About 1910 they began making bisque character socket & shoulder head dolls. This doll measures 13\" tall being a bisque socket head with repairs, see photos. He has a wooden composition body, overall wear, some paint loss with straight wrist, fingers intact. Doll is jointed at the shoulders, elbows, legs and knees. Displays well and is strung just fine. Doll has a \"sweet\" character face with painted intaglio eyes, painted brown brows, closed mouth, rose color blush on his face. Wears vintage off white clothing, including stockings. Doll stand is not included in this listing. I have taken plenty of photos, please look at my photos to serve as part of this description.
